Camp Facilities

The camp has a small basic shop which carries a very limited range of basics (as well as the not so basic ice-cream for the children). There is a small communal kitchen, a coin operated laundry, and coin operated hot showers.

Trampoline

We have just opened a new outdoor swimming pool and an indoor private hot spa pool. There is a boat ramp and car/boat wash facility adjacent to the camp.
We have surfcasting rods, body boards and sand boards (for tobogganing down the giant Te Paki sandhills), kayaks, and  bikes (you can take them for a beautiful ride through the forest) for hire. We also have golf clubs available … there is a local 9 hole course.
In most areas of the camp wifi internet is available and for those who don’t have a laptop or PDA a notebook can be rented.

There is a bbq area and pizza oven adjacent to a large covered gazebo area – this especially popular with those camping in smaller tents!

Telecom have a pay phone opposite  the camp entrance and calling cards are sold at the camp shop. Bait, some fishing tackle, and ice are available from the shop and its possible to rent some freezer space.
There is a children’s playground and a trampoline available for the under 12s.

PlaygroundNo visit to the camp would be complete without a walk through the beautiful Wagener park grounds and memorial garden, we also have a fully operating recycling programme and compost as much rubbish as possible so we ask campers to sort their rubbish and to use the biodegradable bags we supply at no charge. During the busy period we collect campers rubbish daily.

The café and internet facility adjacent to the camp are privately leased but unfortunately at present there are no tenants for the café. There are two other eating places as well in the area and meals are also available some nights at the fishing club if you get sick of your own cooking.

Have a great holiday
